Hey there! My name is Mimi and I’m an iOS developer/blogger/model who loves clean code and pretty dresses.
I was Urban Outfitters, Inc.’s first iOS software engineer intern this previous summer, where I led a team of interns to develop our first fully-functional app, am a recent Big Nerd Ranch iOS Essentials bootcamp alum, and was the member of the winning team in my area’s NASA Space Apps Hackathon this past May. Currently, I’m a senior at New College of Florida, where I’m pursuing a double bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Economics.
In order to satisfy the requirements for a double thesis in those two areas of study, I will be developing Catch, an iOS marketplace app for secondhand clothing (aka a Tinder for clothes) and also be playing Silicon Valley startup founder/CEO and treating Catch like it’s my company’s product. This means that I’ll be looking for user feedback, iterating on and changing the app’s features based on what I hear, coming up with ways to monetize Catch, and building a business model from it. I’ll be blogging about my thesis progress each week in The Thesis Diaries series. If you’re interested in being a tester for the app, please fill out this form.
I also offer freelance modeling and Instagram brand management services to local brands. All of the photos on this site are styled, planned, shot, and edited by yours truly, and you can take a look at my past work on Instagram. I’d love to help you and your business out! If you’d like to work with me, drop me a line and I’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
I’m really fortunate to do what I love every day and post about it on the Internet. I’m so glad you decided to visit — I hope you enjoy your stay.
